A Paralytic By The Pool

A paralytic by the pool
Never had anywhere to go
Then a man came and touched his soul
Gave life and strength to his lame legs
But when he walked others proclaimed
That he should lay back down again
He felt just like a royal fool
And hung his head deep down in shame
But he recalled what the man said
“Get up and walk, but do not sin”
And then it occurred to him
His greatest sin had been his shame
So he walked and walked and walked
And held his burgeoning head high
Until he felt like he could fly
And others flew along with him
We are all made out of the mud
But we have places yet to go
Such great treasures we can sow
And then to reap eternal life

Frail Feet Grow Strong
02:21
|

Frail feet
Grow strong
I don’t know how long
I’ve got to walk down
This rough road
Each day
The rising sun
Is a gift
Though this hard world
Is often cursed
And time’s borrowed
CH:
I’ll walk with you
And hold your hand
Even if things
Don’t go as planned
I’ll know there’s gold
Still to be mined
Just help me not
To fall too far behind
Steep mountains
Or still waters
The true reward
From walking comes
Both now and after
Your love
A light for walking feet
Even without the best shoes
If we’re not quite an athlete

One day to walk on streets of gold
One day to live and live
And live and live
And never grow old
One day: God’s face
Bright as the sun
And after grief and pain and loss
Everybody’s One
CH:
I’m walking for that blissful destination
But the path is in my heart
Sometimes to walk a hundred thousand miles
Is easier than just to start
I began as a sheep
But one day I’ll be a lion
Marching onto Zion
One day the far will become near
One day I won’t have even one iota of fear
One day, but today I’ll try my best
To live and die an honest man
And when it’s time I’ll rest
CH
Everything is teaching us to trust him
Pointing us to God’s perfect design
But this life’s not exactly like the next one
We must make the best of this appointed time
