about

This album has been two years in the making, trying to find time to cover some of my favorite songs by some of my favorite artists. I was able to find thirty one songs, a song for each day of the month, and I've split it up into two discs, for easier listening. Whether's it's the song I shared with my close friend Amy before she passed away about how she saved my life ("Run Away To Mars"), or it's songs that remind me of different times in my life, like my budding adolescent interest in emo music ("Ship of Fools"), or it's songs that helped form me spiritually ("A New Law"), they are all songs that mean a lot to me and that hopefully I'll get out to play in a live setting sometime soon. This is like a little concert for you, just me and my acoustic guitar. Nothing too complex, but my heart is in it, for sure. I hope you enjoy and perhaps find some new artists to check out, or enjoy my rendition of some indie and alternative classics. Thanks to Denise Cumor for the album art. If you click on each of the tracks, you can see some personalized art for each of the songs, taken from her stunning collage. Enjoy Shadowlands, a collection of "shadows" or covers, from my world to yours.
